Update to Adwords seller ratings extensions

Google has made another update to the seller ratings extensions, which are available in Google Shopping and Adwords. The average rating score needed is now 3.5, down from the previous 4.0 minimum. This extends the availabilty of the seller ratings to more advertisers. Typically companies who collect reviews proactively are above the old 4.0 threshold.

Google's seller rating extensions

Customer reviews are also displayed in Google Adwords as Ad extensions (this feature is in limited release and only available in certain countries like USA, UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands). The term used for this extension is "seller rating extension". Seller ratings were first introduced in June 2010 on google.com. A minimum of 30 reviews from accepted sources with an average of 4.0 or above is required to have the stars displayed in the Ads. This is how an Ad looks when it includes seller ratings.
Example with 6200 seller reviews
